    gc holder - f3

it?s been assumed (not a surety, though),if one returns to usa within 6 months of leaving usa, one might be granted re-entry without any scrutiny/warning/threat to gc status. (again, not a surety)
on getting gc, my *first* visit was on 01sep18, left for home country on 23sep18
2nd visit, entered usa on 01dec18 (jfk immigration stamp) & left on 14feb19.
(on 01dec18, the immigration officer just breezed me in. no questions asked. even joked asking me that -does he look a bit like george clooney, because someone during his morning travel commented him upon- )
during my 2nd visit, i procured health insurance, driver license, bank checking account, ss, gym membership. also worked at my in-laws store, albeit, without any pay.
(have a decent cash balance with the bank)
-not rented any apartment/property, stayed at my in-laws' house-

so, now planning my 3rd visit around 20jul19 (again, would be staying at my in-laws' house)
    *
would immigration officer consider 6 months absence from 14feb19 or 01dec18.
    *
(btw: my gc holding daughter first entered usa on 26aug18 - still there...has not left since...)
(my gc holding wife first entered usa on 26aug18, left 14feb19 with me. will reenter with me around 20jul19)

You left on 14feb19, so six months from that date.

Usually they know the date from information provided by the airlines (my guess), because all my I94 dates are updated when I travel abroad and I don't see any officer putting the date onto a computer.

              Found this, hope it helps:
United States (U.S.) law requires airlines operating flights to, from, or through the United States to provide the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), with certain passenger reservation data, referred to as Passenger Name Record (PNR) data, which assists CBP in securing the U.S. borders and facilitating safe and efficient international travel.

If you traveled by land (car), then they may not update their records, and is up to you to show evidence that you were in the USA at the date (or one approximate date) that you need for them to check that is less than 6 months since you travel.

If you have to travel for long periods, is good to have receipts, fly outside (and keep your ticket/boarding pass) or other evidence, so you don't have problems.
