Hi everyone,
I'm planning on moving to the states around December 2007 with a friend of mine. Currently I am doing a multimedia course, namely the "Advanced Diploma of Multimedia" which is a 2year course, finishing next year.
I havn't been enjoying the course at all though, and my plan was to drop out this year, and work full time next year to earn money. See, my mate is working full time saving the money, and we plan to get a house once we move there. We'd have around 80k aud.
Researching visa's and all, i narrowed it down to either a student visa, but i dont want to study, or else a work visa.
This is where the dilemma starts. After speaking to my course leader, she said her son was in the same situation, hated his course, but she made him complete it simply for the piece of paper.
He later went to the states on a tourist visa, and eventually was sponsored and got a job as a waiter. After a year or so he applied for a green card, and got it. She believes him finishing the diploma made a major difference in the decision to give him the diploma.
So i guess my question is, will my having this Diploma of multimedia affect the decision to give me a green card or not?
