Name in passport

Can anyone reply how the father's and mother's name werewritten in your indian passport in the last page.
is it first name followed by last name or last name followed by first name.

I think it depends on how you wrote in the application when you applied for indian passport. my parents name is written as lastname,middlename,firstname since in india they use initials first and then first name.
it would help to reply if we know why you asked this question.

the reason i asked is , i recently renewed my passport in u.s. and they have used first name,last name for my father and lastname,first name for my mother.when i asked them to change it,they mentioned that i have to do that in india,which is ridiculous
