How to get an Affidavit

Hi,

I am in L1-B visa and my current company is applying GC for me.They are asking me to get previous company experience letter in a specified format or Affidavit from my previous supervisor(in previous company).

I can ask my previous supervisor to send that letter but it should be signed before a Notary public....i am not sure what a notary public in india means...and how to get that service in india?

Any help and advice on getting this type of affidavit is appreciated.

Employment letters or experience letters do not have to be notarized. That has never been the requirement.
