Re-entry permit or Advanced Parole ?

Hey All,

I have few questions about re-entry permit/advanced parole.

My mom is gc holder and she went back to India without applying for Re-entry permit, now I want to apply for re-entry permit for her than on form I-131 do i check re-entry or i have to check advanced parole?

Advanced parole is usually given to non-gc holders whereas re-entry permit is given to gc holders.

Also, the form I-131 asks for expected date of departure, so what should be my answer for that? My mom is already in India.

Also, does anyone know if re-entry permit request is approved if the person is already out of US at the time of request?

No advance parole. Only reentry permit for greencard holders.

However, the greencard holder needs to apply for reentry permit while in US. Can't be applied if she is outside the US.
