Need Urgent Help!!! Lost Green Card

I had sent my Green Card to the German Consulate for getting a Visa and they have not bothered to send the Green Card back to me. So I have lost the Green Card now.

Has anyone been through anything like this before ? Can you outline the procedures for getting a replacement one AND also how long will it take to get a replacement one DONE ?

??? You couldnt just mail them a COPY of your GC ?? (sorry, just wondering)...
Anyway, you should have gone to your local USCIS office YESTERDAY to report your card lost/stolen, and fill out a I-90 form. You can download this form at the USCIS website. Good luck !!!
