both myself and my wife( Indians) had family based Green cards valid for 10 years and visited the US once in 2006 , stayed for 3 months. we had to re enter the US by September 15 2008 which we did not because of unforeseen circumstances. but everything is setttled now and we have made up our minds to immigrate to the USA.

Is there any way by which we can renew the green cards?
how can we come to the Us now?

You have likely forfitted your GCs and must start all over if you are somehow qualified. See a US immigration attorney to investigate your options since you have spent so little time in the US.
