  • Is it possible to keep my Green Card and study abroad?

    Hello everyone,

I’m a Canadian citizen studying in a Canadian University.
I also recently received a U.S. green card status. As I understand, there are many rules and regulations to maintaining my green card. i.e. I need to live there for X amount of time out of Y years.

I was wondering if there is anyway of keeping my Green Card and still being able to study in Canada?

Or, will I have to transfer to an American College? Or even commute from the United States to my University?

    Thank you very much.

I'm in a 4 year program with three and a half years remaining in it. What are my options now?

Since my university is fairly close to the boarder- is commuting a valid option?
