Dear Sir or Madam,
I am currently a U.S. permanent resident, with my citizenship belonging to the People's Republic of China. I am not planning to travel outside the country for quite some time, and was originally going to let my Chinese passport expire this coming November. However, my family has brought to my attention their concern that if I do not have a current passport, my Green Card would become void. I have searched both the Chinese consulate website and US Immigration and Citizenship website and have not found any information on this particular subject. Please let me know if I must renew my passport. Thank you for your time!
