hi all ,any idea how much time does it take to get the re entry permit once we apply ...as am applying for it and would like to have it in hand before I leave ....

It takes anywhere from 3-6 months.
You should request for expedite service and if everything is alright, you can get them in about 2-4weeks. the biggest hurdle is the ASC (fingerprint) appointment.
