  • when I can expect my I485 to be processed??

Friends, any idea when I can expect my I485 to be processed, here are the details:
    - Priority Date December 1999
    - Category EB2
    - Texas Service Center
    - I485 receipt date February 2009
    - Finger Prints March 2009
    - Received EAD this week

    I would appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks!!

As long as the PD is current, you should get the GC as soon as your FPs get cleared by FBI. It should be less than 180 days from the date of FP.

Many from TSC are seeing approvals now.

      Thx txh1b!!
What is the role of processing date? My PD is 1999 but I485 receipt date is Feb 2009?

Priority date determines if the GC is approvable or not. Why did you wait so long to file for 485?

when I can expect my I485 to be processed??

If Priority date determines if the GC is approvable or not, then what is the use of "Processing Timeframe" listed on USCIS site?
I have started my GC all over again and that is why 485 filled recently but got previous PD.

It is a program written in this fashion. Some funny pseudocode and pun intended. Don't look for bugs here.

            IF (PD=current)
IF (Processing Date > Date your 485 was filed or at least close)
            THEN
IO look at the 485 file, issue rfes etc, pre-adjudicate.
Approve GC if all is well.
            END IF;
            ELSE
Send files to cold storage and wait for PD to be current.

when I can expect my I485 to be processed??

Well … Let me tell you one thing for sure … “You are awesome”

I normally do not post anything or net or forum but yesterday I was kind of getting panic after reading some forum and hence posted my query.

Also the way you have explained, it is simply too good.

Just one quicker question … My receipt date is February 2009 and PD is December 1999 …. Do you think I’m falling into:
PD=current IF (Processing Date > Date your 485 was filed or at least close)
THEN IO look at the 485 file, issue rfes etc, pre-adjudicate.
              category?

              and what is IO?

              Good bless you!!

Yes, you are in that stage once your FP is cleared by FBI. IO/AO - Immigration Officer/Adjudicating Officer.

                      I understand know.

Could you please provide your opinion about ...

After 3-4 weeks of our finger print, I called FBI to check the status. A lady picked-up the phone and said, that for me and my wife, report was sent back USCIS same day. When I asked about my kid who is 10 year old, she was unable to find his record and finally she said I’m not sure if usually USCIS sends kid’s finger print (who is 10 year old) to RBI.

Is this normal? Does USCIS send the sends kid’s finger print (who is 10 year old) to RBI?

Any input would be really appreciated.

                      Thx in advance!!
