Hello experts,
I have a different situation. We (my family) received green card last year. my wife and son traveled to India. There in India we changed my son's first name (slightly), as we did not like his previous name that much. We made that change to almost all the Indian documents, published on the gazette, surrendered the old original birth certificate and received a new one with his new name, changed in the family card, advertised in news papers and ready to get changed in his passport in 2 days (coincidentally his passport is expiring and needs to be renewed before traveling back to US, anyway!).
But now his green card has his old name and I think it cannot be changed until we come here. So, because of this mismatch between GC and passport, will he have any problem at the port of entry, or with CBP? what should we do..
your answer will help me a lot.
Thank you
Samy.
