    limit on applying for re-entry permit?

    Hi, is there a limit on applying for re-entry permits?

    I am a green card holder and would like to visit India for 6 years. I would like to apply for a reentry permit then come back to USA for 2 months or so then go back to India and so on for 6 years, is this allowed/possible?

    Thank you please help if you can.
