Biometrics Date: Jan 10, 2020 (Missed this appointment because I was not in town, and I checked my mailbox today and the mail dated Dec20, not sure when arrived in the mailbox, so USCIS expect me to be around during Christmas and new years to check my mail promptly..)

I didn't expect receive biometrics appointment so soon, according to timeline updates by other people. Maybe USCIS speed up the progress?

USCIS uses USPS, sign up for Informed Delivery App. It will show you what's going to be in your mail at the current day. This way you won't miss any notification even when you are away because the app shows you actual picture of the envelopes. When I got my I-797 Notice I was able to see it on the app that my GC extension letter is in the mail and will be soon in the mailbox, if it's missing from the mailbox you can report it to the post office using the app. Very useful app.
