Retaining Green Card

Hello sir /Madam,

I have a question regarding re-entry to the USA. Presently, I am in India. I came here on December 1st, 2019 and my return was on April 13th, 2020. But due to the COVID-19 Pandemic my flight was cancelled.
My question is, what if my stay in India will be more than 6 months? I have a permanent residence card. Is it possible to stay more than 6 months in India without re-entry permit?
please suggest me on this. I will really appreciate the answers.

Nothing happens. The green card by itself is valid for reentry after an absence of less than 1 year.
