Hello.
I have a reentry permit valid until the end of this December. Since I have to stay outside of US longer for my job, I intend to re-apply the reentry permit. With decent amount of research, I found that it was noted that I must go back to US when I apply and stay there physically until I get my biometric taken.
When under the normal situation (meaning 'non-COVID19' time), it is said that the period of stay in US would be 4-6 weeks (but probably it is longer now.) I am wondering if there's any way to make my stay shorter.
For example, what if I go to US enough days before the current reentry permit expires, file the application, go out of US once, get the notification of biometric appointment, and come back to US at the date of biometric, all while my reentry permit is valid?
