I am writing to seek your help in reinstating my GC. I got my green card processed through Consular Processing in Feb/Mar 2002. The GC was successfully obtained for myself and my wife. Our two daughters were born in the US and after our second child we moved back permanently to India in Oct 2004. We never planned to return or maintain the status of our GC. Last year I had to visit US for a conference and I was made to surrender my GC since it was not in status. The US consulate at Chennai issued a Visitor's visa valid for 10yrs after which I completed my visit and further visited US for another 3 times.
Now my question is if there is any chance for my surrendered GC to be reinstated since we are planning to move back to US on some health grounds. My wife has not yet surrendered her GC and my two girls (6 & 8 yrs)have US Passport since they were born there. Please share your knowledge. Thank you.
