Now the LONG wait begins. I sent in my i-175 December 2019, did my biometrics February 2020 and have heard nothing from them since. I hear this is standard practice, but when they sent me notice of receipt they said I will remain on my current status for the next 18 months. Well, those 18 months are nearly up!!

In 2018 my husband and I applied for adjustment of status. Had out interview in February 2019 and got our card in March 2019.
This year, applied for removal of conditions on 2nd December 2020, right after the 90 days deadline started. Haven’t heard anything back. When should I expect the receipt notice to come in?
          thank you!
So I applied to get conditions removed about a year ahead of you, they called me in for biometrics March 2020, sent me letter saying theyll get back to me when my application is processed. It's now been more than a year and Ive heard NOTHING. When I try track my status on their website it says:

"On December 13, 2019, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number YYYY YYYY , and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. "

My 18 month extension is about to run out, I have tried calling but their help line is useless. I have been told by others in my situation that there is nothing I can do but wait.
          Very frustrating.

At this point, there are several approaches you can take:

            - if you are interested in applying for naturalization, you can. Just make sure that you note on your application that you have a pending I-751. Sometimes, applying for naturalization will prompt USCIS to take a look at your I-751. But that is not always the case.

You can also reach out to your US senator and ask them to check on your application.

In the mean time, you can call USCIS and ask for an appointment at your local USCIS office in order to get the I-551 stamp on your passport. That will serve as proof that you are a permanent resident. The stamp is good for 1 year.
