Re-entry permit: Reason & supporting documents

Hi,

My husband is a US citizen and I hold a Green Card. My husband is required to work out of the US on an assignment for about 1.5 years and I plan to apply for a re-entry permit. I wanted to know if

- My husband's move is a valid reason for me to apply for a re-entry permit?
- If yes, can you let me know what documents should I gather to support my re-entry permit application?

If you intend to live outside the US with your husband, will you retain your home/property etc in the US?

I am almost definit that you will have to file for a re entry permit, what I am not sure is if you make trips in and out of the US... the permit will continue to stay in effect for 2 years.

The posting details from your husband's place of work should be sufficient reason for your re-location.
