  • Petitioner/beneficiary names I-715

Just received my receipt notice for I-751 removal of conditions case. Very confused about the fact that both petitioner name and beneficiary name are mine. I thought one is me and one should be my husband. Is that a mistake on their behalf or is that how it’s supposed to be?

Yes, you are the petitioner and beneficiary. You are petitioning to remove the conditions on your conditional green card. The form is very straightforward. I highly recommend that you read the instructions - it's a separate document. Do not forget that the evidence of bona fide marriage starts from the date of your marriage.

Is the I-751 the only form that needs to be sent? No affidavits of support to remove conditions?
          Thanks!

You are welcome. Submitting the bonafides from the date you received the conditional card may work just fine. That is of course, at your discretion. I just think it is important for people to know that the instructions state that the evidence of bona fide marriage must start from the date of your marriage. Yes, it may become a little repetitive, and some might say redundant but it is important to follow the directions.

All the best wishes for your application.

Yes, I can't think of any other form you may need.
