Hi, We have green card and need to apply for re-entry permit. I have couple of questions reg. this
1. I understand that you need to be in the USA at the time of filing and stay until finger-printing is done. Give the long wait time these days to obtain receipt notice(3-4 months I guess) and additional wait for fingerprinting afterwards, I was wondering if it's ok to leave USA after submitting the application and come back after getting receipt notice for finger printing? Any guidance on this? Will my application be rejected if I leave USA?
2. Another question I have is, Is it better(from receipt notice wait time perspective) to send the re-entry application to Texas lockbox or Phoenix lockbox? If I send my application to Texas lockbox does it get processed by Texas centre or can be sent out to any other processing centre?
Any guidance here will be hugely appreciated.
