  • What to file with the i-751 and can I travel outside of the USA?

    Hello,

I would like to know what to file with the i-751 as I am filing jointly with my significant other. Due to Covid-19, we weren't able to do much travelling as we hoped, so basically, no pictures were taken because we hermit ourselves but I know we can also send in insurances, tax, apartment lease, gas, and electricity bills, but what else?

We are also planning to go overseas soon (this is a maybe if safety within country borders are permitting foreign travels, we are also getting the vaccine before we go anywhere.) Do I need an extension letter because my conditional green card expires in November while we are planning to travel in June.

    Thanks.

You can still send pictures taken at different times of the year.. birthdays, some virtual baby shower/graduation/hangouts, etc.

You can travel on your green card before it expires. You can travel on expired green card + extension letter after that.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

I was thinking about that, we do have some pictures but most of it is private and just the both of us without people, and I didn't think of the virtual pictures! I don't have many of those though but I'm sure I can dig up some. It's just hard to get many pictures outdoors as I am unable to be outside (immune-compromised) with Covid and all.

Understandable. Same in our case too because we haven't traveled anywhere because of the pandemic -- not even to the grandparents of our new born!! So yeah, most pics we have are of us three only going on walks, sitting around home zoom-ing with family members.
