  • First flight - which last name to use??

Hi all! I have my first flight home coming up to Ukraine. I took my husbands last name so clearly my green card, drivers license, social security is all to my new name but my Ukrainian passport. So I was wondering which name to book the tickets under. My lawyer told me to use maiden name - name that I have in my passport, so I did that. But now I’m thinking...was it the right decision? Wouldn’t they let me in Ukraine with just a green card? Will I have any issues coming back to US with having one name listed on tickets and another on green card? I was already planning on bringing marriage certificate just in case.

    thanks!

I don't know about Ukraine but other countries require you to enter with their passport, so is better to have that.
When you return, having a copy of your marriage certificate can be a good option.

Had this same exact issue when traveling with my wife. She had her greencard, license, and document with my last name. But they will raise issues. So just use whatever is on your passport. Safer.
