Re entry permit expiry date and validity

How long does the re entry permit stays valid? Is it 2 years from the date you left US or till the expiry date of re entry permit?

My mother applied for re entry permit in 2019 and gave her biometrics, then left the USA on 26 September 2019 without receiving the re entry permit which was received later by my father in US in October.2019(expiry date: 11th October 2021), Then later on my father travelled to my home country and brought my mother's re entry permit with him, Now that she has to travel back to the USA before her re entry permit expires so I have few questions to ask:

1- Which date before she has to travel back to the USA, If she left USA on 26th September 2019? Is it before 26th September 2021 or before the expiry date of Re entry permit that is on 11th October 2021?

2- Will there be any problems at the port of entry on airport: if she travels after 26th September 2021 but before 11th October 2021( Re entry permit expiry) , That will make her stay more than 2 years abroad ?

The expiration date on the entry permit is what you should go by

applied reentry: dec19
biometric: jan20
left usa: jan20
recd reentry permit at mumbai consulate: 06jul20
reentry permit expiry: 03jul22

so, if i land in usa in jul22, it would tantamount to
2.5 yrs outside usa. yet, my entry would be lawfully secure as the expiry on the permit lists 03jul22.
right?

What matters is that your obligation to file in advance, wait for biometrics and then leave the country.
You can enter as long as your re entry permit is valid.
