  • Did you submit affidavits with your I751 application? How important are affidavits?

I am reviewing the requirements for the I751 application and I saw that USCIS recommends to submit at least 2 affidavits.

Did anyone submit affidavits with their application? If so, how many did you submit? If not, do you think it could negatively affect the application?

Our marriage is 100% legit but I do worry that our friends / family who can write affidavits for us would get nervous or anxious if and when they are contacted which could annoy USCIS and this would potentially screw up the application for us - if that makes sense?

How important are affidavits when we have the other documents (401K as each other’s beneficiary, mortgage, insurance, bank statements, electricity bills, etc etc) to prove that our marriage is 100% legit and bonafide?

Hopefully this will make you feel better I did not send any affids either in my initial application or removal of conditions application. I did however include screen shots of group chats/texts with me and my wife with her family/ my family/ and friends showing that our life together is legit. Honestly I dont think these affids carry that much weight compared to other evidence such as both names on bank accounts. house, cars, credit cards, bills, joint tax filings, wills, POA etc which do!!

      Amazing. Thank you.

Were the conditions removed from your permanent residency yet? If so, how long did the whole process take for you? What was the timeline like?

the Initial application for my 1st greencard took ages but shockingly I got lucky and my removal was less than 3 months. Applied early-ish september 2020 and received the new card before Thanksgiving 2020. I posted about it with my table of contents. The post is probably in the first few pages of this forum!

ihaveit29 i only included one affidavit to mine and my biometric was waved 6 days after receiving my 18 months extension. But then, we included our mortgage documents with our application.

After my marriage, we had a daughter and bought a house together.

is there better evidence than this? ????
