08/05/21: 18 months Extension Letter received

I am getting letter from USCIS in mail later today. It looks like biometrics are waived. Online Status is still case received

tauraos the biometric waived, is that the letter that came in the mail saying the USCIS will reuse previously captured finger prints and they will run the same security checks and biometric free will not be refunded?

tauraos But got it in the mail today. Didn’t know because it was not updated on the website (was thinking it should show there). Just randomly logged into usps the see mails coming in today and saw it. I guess Texas is indeed fast. Hand in there everyone.

Initial filing was 7/15/21. Green card expired 8/2/2021.
My application was returned with all the documents I sent. I-797c stated that it was rejected for incorrect amount which I was expecting. It took them over a month to reply and so my new filing date was after the expiration date of my GC. I filed my application again 8/28/21 and included a letter of explanation as my application was now late.
It was delivered 9/1/21. Acct was charged 9/2/21 for $680, text received 9/3/21. 24 month extension letter received 9/18/21. Biometrics waived 9/22/21.. fingers crossed.

Yes, I've noticed it too and wasn't happy about it. It looks like now they are processing applications submitted around mid-April based on the information in the spreadsheets ☹

My package was delivered on 4/6, and receipt date is 4/26/2021. Still haven't received anything, and no updates on website. My friend submitted her package a month before me, and she got her 10 year green card 2 months ago!! We are both SRC

Did you get the biometrics notice. For a lot of us SRC people, the status never changed but we did get letter about biometrics waiver in mail you can always reach out to USCIS to ask about status. I prefer online chat. Fast and accurate. good luck

Hi, yes my status did change to biometrics waived soon after I got the receipt. But it's now getting slow again at Texas center, I was expecting the card a month ago since my friend got hers so fast.

I’m assigned to the Texas Center. Timeline in signature. So far, the package was delivered on 10/25 and I got the text on 10/27.
