Hi there,
I have been a Greencard holder since 2017. In August 2019 I filed my I-751 timely to remove conditions and receive my 10year card.
Since then I have been waiting...
My Greencard expired in October 2019, then in March 2020 I was invited to get biometrics taken. Because of Covid, the appointment was canceled and instead I received a letter that USCIS can use my old biometrics instead. Of course the $85 were not refunded.
Next I received a letter in November 2020 that my case is still pending and was moved to a different field office for processing. When the extension letter also expired I was starting to have trouble with employers, so in October 2021 I went to a USCIS office to inquire about my case and they said it is "ready to be picked by an agent" and that could happen any day. I received an I-751 stamp in my passport as proof of lawful status.
Now another 7 months have passed and the online status is still stuck at the November 2020 update. I sent multiple inquiries about my case being outside of normal processing times and got nothing back, only that they will "send me a letter" about the status of my case, which they never did.
It has been 2 years 9 months now since receipt and 1 year 7 months since the last update on the case status. Is this just normal now after the pandemic or what is everyone else's experience?
Thank you!
