Effects of unemployment insurance on citizenship

Hello folks,

I'm on GC and lost my job recently.

I'm in the process of applying for unemployment benefits in California and wondering if this would, in any way, negatively affect citizenship application down the road.

Also, have the same question about California Middle Class Tax Refund. I received the debit card a while back but still have not activated it due to the same concern.

Please clarify. This is a bit urgent as the Unemployment benefit process is time sensitive.

Thanks for your response. A quick search on google / youtube tells me the same thing about unemployment benefits but there is no information about the "California Middle Class Tax Refund". Don't really want to jeapordize citizenship for approx $500 ( I think that's the amount in the tax refund card). However, don't want to throw away the money either. Can you please confirm No is the answer for both? TIA
