Will nationality change affact the green card status?

I held a Chinese passport when I started to apply for green card. During the green card application, I became a Canadian citizen. Since my Chinese passport was valid, I did not change the status. Then I got my green card and I always used it to travel with my valid Chinese passport until recently my Chinese passport expired and I can not get it renewed.
My question is:
If I apply for a Canadian passport, can I use it to travel with my green card? Do I need to update the status of my nationality on my green card?

Answer the following first:
a)Did you hold Chinese citizenship and Canadian citizenship at the same time ?
b)Have you notified NVC of your canadian citizenship yet.

You should notify Nvc about your citizenship. it wont change manythings though...as far as i know its as per place of birth and country of citizenship together.
