Re-entry Permit query
I got my green card about 4 1/2 yrs back. I want to visit India for a longer duration and was interested in knowing about the re-entry permit application. Has anyone applied for it and have how long did it take to get the permit. Did they have to remain in US to get the permit. Has the permit been rejected for any one and on what grounds. Is there a need to maintain a permanent address in usa in order to get this permit?
Just FYI, I havent travelled much out side usa in these 4 1/2 yrs. Only this year I have made 2 visits to India.
