I've had an ongoing legal battle to get my LPR status via a relief called 212c. This is a result from a criminal conviction.
I've now been informed by my attorney that in fact i've won my appeal. I now have a shceduled hearing/order to appear before the IJ in a couple of months.
The problem is i left the country almost two years ago to this day and did not do the necessary paperworks. Per my attorney, for me just come back and show my order to appear along with my old alien card upon arrival at the airport.
What can happen then? Will i be allowed to reenter? Will i be asked to just go back? Will i be taken into custody?
I left the US because of the stress and fear of being taken into custody while awaiting outcome of my case. I'm very afraid/confused and not know what my best option would be. Pleaser help.
