Procedure for returning GC and getting visitor visa

My mother got green card in Nov 2010 and now she wants to go to India permanetly (family issues). What are the steps and How do we proceed in returning her green card and get visitor visa in case in future she wants to visit us?

I want to know the procedure/us-visa-and-immigration-forms/steps invovled so that in case in future my Mom wants to visit us again it should not be a problem.
