  • GC-Validation Rule

I will appreciate if somebody can put more focus on this.
We have to GC . If we go out of US for 1 year.
Can we enter into US ?

    2. By default how long GC remains valid if go outof US.
    Without doing anything ?

    Thanks

    In an nutshell:
If you move your residence abroad, you lose the GC immediately.
If the temporary stay abroad is less than 180 days, the person is not seeking admission when returning.
If the temporary stay abroad is over 180 days, but less than 1year, the person is seeking admission upon return, and all the grounds of exclusion apply (e.g., communicable disease, public charge).
If the temporary stay abroad is longer than 1 year, the GC is lost unless the person has a re-entry permit. With the re-entry permit, the person can return within the validity limits of the re-entry permit, which is 2 years from issuance of the re-entry permit.
