  • Entry into the US for GC holders

    Hi,

We would like to clarify if we require any other documents besides our GCs and Passport at the port of entry.

We heard that there was an article in the Economic times mentioning a list of documents which we havent seen but have heard from a friend of ours that we would require 3 yrs income tax documents.

Appreciate if anyone can shed light on this. Also please let us know what is the process at the Indian airport (Mumbai)

    Thanks

That's a bit different. Somebody who has an IV is not a Permanent Resident yet. You become one at the POE.
You need your passport and the IV. Nothing else. They will send you to Secondary Inspection, where they will take your fingerprints, prepare the I-89 to order the card, and give you an I-551 stamp in the passport.
