  • Working for 2 employers

Can I work for 2 employers at the same time.
One of them as a Full Time Employee & the other one as a Temp Employee.

I think, I can but the only thing is I may have to pay a huge tax. But I still want to have a second opinion.

    thanks

This forum is for 'After Greencard'. Hence, I assume you already have greencard. If that is the case, you can work for multiple employers.

Regarding tax, if you have multiple employers, you have multiple income and hence more tax in general.

        Re: Working for 2 employers

If you have work authorization, you can work for as many employers as you want. You have to have the intent to work for the sponsoring employer fulltime, once you have the GC.
As for taxes, your number of allowances goes down on the W4, which results in a tax increase. Your tax bracket is calculated by adding up the income from all employers. So depending on your income, you may end up in a higher tax bracket and you may owe taxes come April 15.
