  • OCI card for newborn baby applying after January 9

    Hi,

I am in a big trouble. I had a baby boy on December-2014 and got US passport for him. I am here in USA with L1B visa and with I-94 extension. Recently I came to know that PIO has been stopped and only OCI will be accepted after 9th January 2015. But the CKGS tells that OCI will not be given if parents' visa is expired and I-94 will NOT be accepted. I have to return to India on Apr-15 as my I-94 expires. So I cannot go for indian visa for my baby as it is valid ONLY upto 6 months up one one particular visit. Please provide some advice anyone if possible.

    Thanks, Sandu
