I heard to apply for a partner visa to Canada, it requires the sponsor to have be financial independent and must have a job or self-employed. Is that true? I dont' see that as a requirment under Immigration website. It says, it can be one of the potential problems if the sponsor doesn't have a job. If yes, how much is the standard amount to indicate the sponsor is financial stable? What if my sponsor is unemployed, but have about CAD 20 000 in savings? Thanks.
