US citizen 22 month kid

Me and the wife from India here in US on H1 B, have the canadian PR, kid is US citizen.

Can we travel with the kid to canada and file imm. from within, if yes how long it takes....ideas....

yes possible

you guys being PRs can travel to Canada when you make up your mind to go Canada with your US born son. At the Port of entry show up proof of the infant is your son i.e Birth certificate issues in US, or if you already applied for passport and issued for your son, you can show that too.

Once you are in CANADA, you can obtain the application from CIC and fill it , and pay the neccessary fee. Thats it.

Your son will be issued a file number and i heard that the process will take appzly 6 to 8 months...

I did the same thing, it has been 2 months since i sent my son's application.
