Hi,
I was caught shoplifting at Sears for merchandise worth $100. The loss prevention came with the mall police and took me to a room where they took my details(license..no fingerprints)
I was given a citation to appear in court. I consulted a criminal attorney and he asked me to do community service before my court date. I did 30 hours and on the court date he negotiated with the DA and my case was dismissed. I have the certified copies from the court(community service letter & the dismissed citation).
I will be travelling to India in December 2012 and I'm concerned about visa interview for my first H1B stamping. Do i write Yes for arrest/conviction on DS160?
Also are the documents enough? I have also applied for expunction of my case over 3 months back.
