  • Arrested for not paying money to Cab Driver.Need to go on B1 in a week.

    Hi,
I was on H1 B during 2006-2009.I was once arrested for not paying to cab driver , as I thought of paying with credit cards, unfortunately all my cards blocked.
As I was in casino that before night, tried to swipe all cards.
Cab driver he made a hue and cry and called police. They simply arrested me for couple of hrs and taken my finger prints. After few days I have paid the penalty in the court.

with that mess I have come back to India.
Now I got a B1 visa. After issuning B1 visa along with passport they have issued a note saying " you have been arrested once, pls provide court docs".
but honestly after paying that fine in court, I came back to India.Dont have any docuemnts.
If I visit US again on B1, will they have all these records? if they arrest me again ? or any problem as I need t go in a week.

moreover I would like to apply for H1 B also, will it be any problem.

    Somebody pls help me.

    Thanks,
    Madan

It isn't clear if you have now been issued a visa, or if your visa issuance is being withheld until you provide court documents.

If your visa issuance is being held until you can provide court disposition documents, you must obtain such documents from the court or possibly from the State agency or FBI criminal records reports. Tell us the state in which the offense occurred and we will provide address and procedure for obtaining the needed dispositional documents.

You can have someone obtain a Missouri Criminal Records Check for $11, which may have details of your offense and disposition. You need form SHP-158P, downloadable from the Missouri State Highway Patrol website: https://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/MS...ts/SHP-158.pdf

If you are successful in obtaining a record check that shows the court disposition, carry it with you when you enter the U.S. with your visa, and only offer it if requested at the Port of Entry.
