shoplifting at the age of 18 in Nebraska

Hi, hope someone can assist me on this. When I was 18 in the state of Nebraska I was caught shoplifting at a supermarket.(misdemeanor). It was a bottle of pain pills that cost 7 dollars. The state of Nebraska the legal age I think is 19.
Now, I am 24 years old. I am really worried that this would still be or might be on my criminal record as I am applying for important jobs. Can someone please give me an advise?
