L2 Dependent : Applying EAD

Hi,

I am an L2 dependent and my husband is in US. I am planning to travel for 2 weeks in Nov and then will permanently move there in Feb. I am thinking of traveling and applying EAD so that by feb when i move permanently i will have the EAD card and can start working. Can someone please let me know how much feasible is this? Will i be able to complete some of the steps of the process in this course of 2 weeks? What is the exact procedure to get EAD? What all documents are required? Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.
