EAD renewal question

My EAD is expiring on Feb 2006.

My spouse is applying L1 Extention and my L2 extention.

1. Can I apply for EAD once he gets the reciept number? Or should I wait for L1/L2 approval

2. Can I continue work, once I apply for EAD extention? Or should I wait for EAD approval?

1. If you are already on L2 now, you don't have to wait for L2 extension approval to apply for renewal of EAD. L2 extension receipt should be enough.

2. You can work only if you have valid EAD. You can't work on EAD filing receipt.

Thanks a lot but i have one more issue.
My EAD is expiring in feb 2006 and my husband L1 is also expiring in feb 2006 ,so we are going back to india for visa restamping and will be back in April 2006.so can i apply my EAD renewal now with my current I-94 and after coming back submit my new I-94 to INS office.so It will save my 2 months for EAD renewal.
