Do you guys think that if the expedition of the ead was denied they'd at least send a letter or would something show when checking my status?

Oh wow. Awesome !! Still no luck for me.
I think they would but to be safe, I'd call them back after a week or so to see where things are.

I just called this morning because even though I got an interview date letter last week (end of May), my prospective employer wanted me to start on 4/30. I want to know (if possible) whether I can still get the EAD before the interview date so I can start work. The initial customer service representatives will only tell you what you already know but if you ask to get more clarification, they can raise the call and assign it to an officer. I am waiting for a callback from an officer right now so hopefully they can help me better.

I am doing all this because my employer is not too familiar with the immigration proceedings and I do not want to test their patience - if I tell them that I have an interview date a month out, they will just want to know when I can actually start work (but I will not know how long I will get a card after the interview even) so getting the EAD itself is the best option for me.

I wish everyone here the best of luck and I hope we get through soon!

We called last night to expedite my husband's EAD. He has a job offer in Florida (about 1,000 miles away) that he's supposed to start 5/28. I checked the case status today and these were the updates

On May 1, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, was completed.
                05/01/2018

On May 1, 2018, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited

On May 1, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, was assigned to an officer for response.

If it says it's completed and we have not been contacted for further evidence, does that mean it was automatically denied?

Same scenario. Still waiting. The email we received said the case was expedited but nothing further.

We never received an email requesting further evidence though... I'm wondering if maybe the agent who sent in our request possibly wrote my husband's email down wrong... Do you think we should call to see? My worst fear is that they're waiting for more evidence and we never received the request. It'll just make the process that much longer D:

I would call because if it's closed that means they had to send you something via email.

I spoke with my immigration attorney today and he stated that at this time "expedited" EAD cases are taking just as long or longer compared standard ones. But that's just from his experience. I'm a January filer, hoping for EAD next month.

Received email today that says my EAD has been produced. Wonder how long will it be before I receive it physically?

Update after calling to expedite on 4/16

Hello everyone, I applied to the NBC on 1/31/18 for the I-765 based on marriage. I want to share a timeline of my expedite request for those of you considering it and those waiting:
4/16: Called USCIS asking for expedite citing financial reasons - was recently unemployed but had a job offer starting on 4/30
4/17: Received email asking for proof of job offer. Faxed offer letter same day
4/21: Receive interview appointment letter (not sure whether this is because of expediting, my online status showed no changes). Interview is on 5/21
4/24: Call USCIS to get an update on I-765. Directed to an officer and I tell them of my situation. They tell me that there are no updates and say there is no need to do a service request. They offer no timeline either. I contact my prospective employer and they agree to push back on my start date.
5/2: Get a notice - New Card is Being Produced

If you are currently waiting for an expedite request you can try what I did and call them and restate your case. I think it helps.

If you are considering expediting yours and you have the evidence, you should do it.

I will place an update once I get the actual card. Good luck to you all. Be patient but keep pushing!
