do EAD and AP have to wait for COS to get approved ?

My wife came to US on 2/10/2017 on a B1/B2 visa, and she was supposed to leave by 8/9/2017, but before that we filed a change of status to F1 visa (on 08/04/2017) which gives her the right to wait for their decision inside the Us, meanwhile we filed an AOS on October 4th 2017 based on a pending I-130 (PD 12/15/2015) once it became current.
now i know that they can't approve AOS untill COS is approved, but does anyone know if EAD and AP are effected by that ?

Contact your immigration attorney in this case. I am not sure if you can change status from B1/B2 if you overstay your visa. Did you get approval for change of status approval from B1/B2 to F1?

COS is not approved yet it takes 12 months or so, but EAD and AP are being reviewed now, we didn't overstay the visa we filed COS before the overstay.
