Anyone has reapplied for I-765 ?

Bio: December 5th

several SR, Request to expedite, Ombudsman, House Rep etc and nothing.
Almost 8th months

Called a lawyer today but they said he cannot do anything either.
He suggested I reapply the I 765? Has anyone done it?
any experiences with this scenario?

My lawyer suggested the same for me.
I asked if this would invalidate the first application. She said she had never done it before but recommeded me to do.
I am too suspicious about this and not up to the risk. Still waiting a little bit more before doing it.
