  • Application - Oct 2018 - longing for my EAD

    Hi everyone!

I've filed my documents via a lawyer and am still waiting to hear info after my biometrics appt.
    Here's my deets:
    Located in: NYC
    Filed: Oct 26 2018
    Recved invoice: Nov 7 2018
Notice of biometrics appt: Nov 9 2018
    Biometrics appt: Nov 30 2018
    All through NBC

There has been no update on my forms (i130/i131/i485/i765). The last update was from Nov 1 2018 saying the invoices were sent out.
They haven't even said that my biometrics were completed (I've seen other posts of people stating that's an update they've had).
I called USCIS today and spoke to customer service to ensure that my biometrics were indeed received, and the CSR did state that it had been and they don't update the case to confirm that - odd right?

I don't know how long this process will take and am starting to go a bit cray cray (I feel bad for my husband).

I feel better writing this out! Any other Oct filers in the hizzouse?

    Happy Friday-eve,

    Mrs. RAF

From the posts I read, many people status doesn't change to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" and it just change when they are ready for interview or other update.

You need to relax, normal EAD processing time is around 5 months. Some people get the EAD before that and few others take much longer.

All my posts are based on my experience or information I read on the forums or the USCIS website. I may be wrong. Please consult a professional.

Thanks for the insight... I totally do need to calm down. Patience isn't one of my better qualities...
