EAD expired
You can always renew it until your green card comes. It's not like an H-1, where if it has already expired you are in trouble!
Have you been working? If you don't have an H-1, and your EAD has expired, you have been working without permission!
If you choose to renew, you might want to include a cover letter to explain that you have not been working out of status during the period that you were without EAD card.
