Use EAD to be an entrepreneur?

Once I receive my EAD, can I use it to be an entrepreneur in a similar field, rather than staying with the same employer?

You can work for ANY employer with your EAD. Unless it requires you to be an US Citizen.

Would working in a different field / job description cause greencard problems? I have other opportunities that I'd like to explore, but would like to be careful in the process.
