EAD and work - the big question

Hello,

I applied for Employement GC thru my company and will be receiving my EAD soon. Can my spouse (who is currently on L1 visa) switch to her EAD ( she is the secondary applicant for my GC processing) and work for companies?

Your inputs will be greatly appreciated.
